i found out i was going to loose my baby when i went for my first scan at 11 weeks, they found a lot of fluid on the babies neck, as this was my first child i was so upset i was sent for an ammo test and found out i was carrying a girl. when the results came back all clear for downs we thought that mia was going to be ok as the doctors thought that she had downs but at my 20 weeks scan they found fluid now on her lungs and in her stomach and we were told that she was going to die, they gave her two weeks, mia gave up a fight i could feel her kick and m,ove all the time.

 

 i had a midwife a pointment when i was 23 weeks and that morning i knew she had gone cos i wojke up with a heavy hard bump the midwife confermed this and i was sent to hospital, there they did a scan and was told there was no heart beat, all though i knew mia was going to die nothing prepares for when it happens. i was induced the next day and gave birth to her that night, after i ahd to go to surgery and when i came back my partner had dressed mia and the midwife had got her footprints for us, we were taken to a family room and spent the next day with her. mia was sent for an autopsy and we were allowed to have a buiral for her two weeks later, my partner carried her coffin it was the hardest day of our lifes. we visit her grave every week.

 

I found out i was pregnant again six months after i lost mia and i am now 21 weeks pregnant and have got my third scan on thursday as they are keeping an eye on this one we haven't found out what i'm having but hopefully we will this time. i praying little mia is looking after her little brother or sister and all will be better this time.
