Belfast Marathon 2012
Tesco Antrim – Bag Pack 6th April 2012
Yesterday’s bag pack at Tesco Antrim was a massive success. Thank you so much to Nichola and Ian Jenkins, and to everyone else who came along and gave up their time to raise vital funds for Life After Loss. A Grand total of £1045.60 was raised. As well as packing bags, Nichola and Ian set up an information stand, to try and spread awareness of what we do, and that we are here to help anyone who might need us. Fantastic job everyone, you all did Bailey and all our little ones proud.
Belfast Balloon Release 2011 – It was beautiful….

Our fifth annual Balloon Release was held on Sunday at Belfast Castle, and as always it went beautifully. We released 1000 balloons into the sky, many of them with messages on them for our precious little ones. The weather was gorgeous, which has to be more than co-incidence, as it’s the 5th year running we have had glorious weather, and this year it was a single lovely day in a miserable torrential rain filled week.
There was such a large turnout, which is really bittersweet for us. Lovely to see so many people take part in something so special, but on the other hand obviously we all wish none of us had reason to be there.
The total amount raised was just over £2,000 which is an absolutely fantastic sum, and more than covers the cost of the event. Thank you all so much for your continued support.
Office Opening Night!
We had an office-opening get-together on Friday evening, to celebrate the opening of the first Life After Loss Office. It was lovely to see so many turn up, have some snacks, check out the office, and have a nice chat about our special little ones. That is exactly what one of the purposes of the office will be, so it was really lovely to get off to such a nice start. Thank you everyone who came along, and also those who sent their kind wishes.
Our New Office!
Life After Loss is very excited to announce the opening of our very first office, in Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim. We are very grateful to Ikea, Belfast for their assistance with furnishing it. We have tried our best to make it a cosy and welcoming haven for our informal support groups and other activities. We think we succeeded, and we can’t wait to get going with our work supporting bereaved families in Northern Ireland.
We are holding a little opening night event, and you would be very welcome to come along, have a look around and enjoy some chat and snacks. Friday 30th Sept, 7.30pm. Let us know if you plan to attend, so we can make sure we cater for everyone. We are in Unit 8C, Office 9, Kilroot Business Park, Carrickfergus.
